How to securely wipe partitions and data storage drives?
You can now securely erase condifential data using Remo Drive Wipe software with just few clicks. Follow the simple instructions in this video tutorial to securely wipe partitions, hard drives, SD cards, USB drives, Memory cards, etc.

- Hi there! Let me show you how to use Remo Drive Wipe software to securely erase partitions or a complete drive.
- Launch Remo Drive Wipe software.
- As soon as the software is launched the software would load and display the drives on your computer.
- Here you could notice “Physical Drives” and “Logical Drives”
- Physical Drives are Hard Drives, SD Cards or Thumb drives connected to your computer. So when you select a Physical Drive to wipe, the entire drive is securely wiped including the partitions inside the drive.
- Logical Drives are the partitions available inside Physical Drives. When you select a Logical Drive to wipe, only the selected partition is wiped.
- Now, select either a Physical Drive or a Logical Drive based on your requirement and click Next.
- Remo Drive Wipe uses nine different sanitization standards for drive wiping. All the wiping methods provided in Remo Drive Wipe have been approved by various government and law enforcement agencies.
- Here you could see three categories of Wiping methods: Low, Medium and High. In the free version you could only use Low wiping methods.
- Remo Drive Wipe is also available in Pro Version, click on Upgrade option to purchase the Pro version.
- Pro version provides more enhanced data security with its powerful wiping patterns.
- Select a wiping method and click “Proceed”
- You will receive a prompt to confirm whether you have chosen the correct drive to wipe.
- Check the drive description in the prompt and make sure you have selected the correct drive before clicking “Yes”
- Now, a warning message appears that, “this process will erase all the data on the drive and the process is not reversible.”
- Click “Yes” to start the wiping process.
- Once the process completes, you will receive a prompt notifying “the wiping process completed successfully”.
- Click “OK” and the click “Finish”.

Note: Drive wiping process may take longer time than the time taken in this video. For better viewing experience we have minimized the length of wiping process. The wiping time depends on several factors, such as: drive/partition size, read/write speed of your drive or drive wiping pattern selected by you. Higher the wiping pattern selected longer the time will be taken.
